Favourite TV chef Tom Kerridge plans to open first London restaurant next year in luxury Knightsbridge hotel.
Popular TV chef Tom Kerridge is set to open his first London restaurant at the five-star hotel Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge.
Kerridge, who already runs the UK's only two Michelin-starred gastropub, The Hand & Flowers, will launch his new restaurant on the site of the hotel's Rib Room Bar and Restaurant.
The chef's first London venue is scheduled to open next year, and this will bring his restaurant portfolio up to three – he also runs the Coach pub in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, close to The Hand & Flowers.
The Rib Room, which has been a feature of the luxury hotel since 1961, is due to close in early 2017, after which extensive renovation work will take place to prepare for its replacement.
Kerridge summed up his new venture: 'We are thrilled and honoured to be opening in London at this landmark location in Knightsbridge'.
'We will be revealing more details on our plans early next year.'
Kerridge is known for his appearances on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen, Food and Drink, and Great British Menu, among others, while he has also presented his own food programme, also for the BBC.
