owever, the stamp duty increases have meant that there was a slowdown in transactions over the summer period.
A grim summer for stock markets with the FTSE 100 dropping 17% since the beginning of the year highlighted with the slide in China’s stock market has had a domino effect to global equity markets.
Due to the volatility of these markets, I am pleased to confirm that investors are once again looking to invest their money in the safe haven of the prime central London property market.
However, the stamp duty increases have meant that there was a slowdown in transactions over the summer period. This is an area that certainly needs reviewing.
The Autumn has a real sense of positivity. We expect the market to continue to be productive with many long term opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
We are currently marketing some excellent properties and also selling some superb off market opportunities. We have also be instructed to acquire several high end investments on behalf of overseas investors.
Autumn will be an exciting time.
